A Single Grain

Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭24‬

It is the natural cycle of a seed to have been grown from the ground into a plant/tree then from its fruit comes the seed, the falling of the seed to the ground, death and from this death a new growth into a plant. Jesus uses this cycle of nature to explain an important spiritual truth.

Perhaps you have heard the statement ‘unless there is sacrifice there is no reward’.

If you ask every sport personnel, international leaders or any person of influence they will all say stories of sacrifices. They will tell us about the amount of time, energy and resource they had to spend in order to be in the position they are in now. Without their sacrifice they would not have had success.

In the spiritual there is a sacrificial death that needs to happen to us in order for our true spiritual nature to manifest. It is the death to our outer self, our flesh needs to die for the Spirit to work. Every selfishness, self-centredness, own ambitions, ego and self importance needs to die until our intentions become ‘all for your glory alone Lord Jesus’.

Then the HolySpirit will fully start to manifest in us and through us a fruitful harvest will become possible.

Amen!

MEDITATE/KNOW/IMAGINE CONSTANTLY - I submit myself entirely to the Lord Jesus
