“even to your old age I am he, even when you turn gray I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.”
Isaiah 46:4
In our lifespan at the beginning of life it's usually parents that take care of us, then as the years go by we might have a spouse or a family supporting us, and then in older age it might be our children that look after us. Therefore, the only person that can make a promise as of above is our Father God, because only He is present before our birth, at the time of birth, throughout our lives until we return to him.
How does God carry us then? I wouldn’t imagine any less that how a Father carries his child! Perhaps you as an older man or woman find it difficult to imagine being carried by God like a child? But to God who is eternal who watches over you from the time you are born until the time our journey on earth finishes, to Him you will always remain a child. He just cannot help but carry you in his arms!
Having this truth inside our heart will keep us in the love of God. Knowing and living in the realisation Daddy God carries us brings comfort to all our life circumstances, because this promise of the Lord means that not one step of our life He willingly allows to go wrong. Since He carries us in his arms, He will not allow any harm to come to us!
