Eyes of the Servant

As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until he has mercy upon us.

Psalms 123:2

How does a servant look to the Master? Simple answer is With complete attentiveness! If the servant does not look at their master continuously they could miss out on what the master is directing. If the master needs something, before he even asks the servant must be ready, to know the need quickly, ready to act at any given moment.

The verse above talks about the way we must be attentive to the Lord our God. It encourages us to keep our eyes on the Lord always! To know the mind of the Lord about every aspect of our lives. Of course we are children of the living God but like the Son of God demonstrated, we need to have a servant’s heart, a heart that continuously seeks to be directed by God.

Amen!

I will end this short blog with some questions to ponder on:-

  1. In my life am I seeking the will of God?

  2. Do I consider whether my actions are in accordance or against the teachings of the Jesus?

  3. Do I make decisions and plans in life after inquiring of the Holy Spirit?

MEDITATE/KNOW/IMAGINE CONSTANTLY - I look to Jesus in everything seeking ONLY his will
