There are two Kingdoms the Word of God tells us about. A kingdom of darkness and a kingdom of light. Before we dig deeper I want to make one thing clear - the LIGHT always wins! No matter how pitch black of a darkness it is, the moment a spark of light appears, darkness cannot remain and light always shines through.
Sometimes I imagine Jesus pulling me out of a deep well, out of my darkness he raises me into fresh air, where there is light. It seems his rescue plan is quite simple - find the ones that are in the depts of darkness and give them a helping hand. Many of our lives have been in a deep well and the light of Jesus has truly saved us. He gives us a clean slate all at once, he forgives us, redeems us and makes us citizens of heaven!
Once after receiving Jesus in Holy Mass I was looking to see what HolySpirit was speaking. I saw that the Eucharist on my tongue was lit by itself from within. Then as this host went into me, my entire spirit body was illuminated, I had suddenly become a bright shining light source. Our Lord and God Jesus Christ himself is LIGHT! He has rescued us from the darkness we were once in but now as we receive more of him, as we have more of the revelation of Jesus we become sources of light that cannot be extinguished! Amen!
